Dawn Chorus
Thanks to Richard Jack for leading this morning’s #dawnchorus walk in #Tullamore. We set out from Offaly County Council Lloyd Park and made our way to Tullamore Wetland, taking in the sights and sounds along the route.
A large variety of species greeted us, with blackbirds dominating the early chorus. As the light increased, more voices joined in, building into a rich and varied soundscape. At the wetlands we heard Sedge Warbler and Reed Bunting, two highlights before retracing our footsteps to pick up the late risers

Thanks to Richard and all who got up early to join us. Thanks also to the The Heritage Council for supporting this event and the Offaly Naturalists' Field Club.
