Ungardening for Biodiversity
by Ricky Whelan, Biodiversity Officer, Offaly County Council
As spring is taking hold it’s the perfect time to start planning the gardening year ahead. Ricky Whelan will explore how simple changes in everyday gardening practices can make a big difference for local wildlife.
Ricky will look at practical ways you can help create habitats for birds, bees, bats by choosing wildlife‑friendly plants, reducing chemical use, and providing food and shelter throughout the year. Whether you have a large garden, a small outdoor space or a balcony, this session will show how you can help support biodiversity right on your doorstep.
