Itinerary:
1pm - Welcome - Introduction / Overview
1.10 Walk from King Tree to forest trail on left hand side of avenue.
1.20 Enter forest clearing, walking first to the block of coniferous trees
- Begin search for fungi
- Frequent stopping, Observing the ground, trees and fallen logs for obvious fungal growths.
- Examine and introduce walkers to the different specimens discovered
2.00 continue the path along the westerly wall which eventually leads along to the castle.
Contunue searching along this route observing and discussing the different fungi present
2.30 Return to King Tree
Volunteers from Tullamore Tidy Towns will conduct a litter pick along the route.
